🌱 A Developing Grassroots Community Initiative

Rooted in Protection.
Built to Lift What Is Already Good.

Walezi of the Earth is a developing initiative dedicated to guardianship, practical support, and human dignity. We listen first, partner with care, and stand beside families, youth, veterans, and the land we share.

“Multiply the good already being done.”

“Walezi of the Earth is listening first. These surveys help us understand real community needs, existing resources, and where stronger connections may be needed.”

Our Root Calling

What Does It Mean to Be a Guardian?

In Swahili, Walezi speaks to the caretakers, custodians, and guardians who look after the safety and well-being of others. We did not start Walezi of the Earth to claim we have all the answers or to replace existing services. We started because too many people fall through the quiet cracks between systems—working families struggling above benefit cliffs, young people looking for safe mentorship, and community spaces waiting for care.

Our founding principle is to never duplicate what is already working, but to find where help breaks down and strengthen the hands of those already serving.

Founder's Note Joanna Reyes, Founder

“Walezi of the Earth is a growing community driven relief system that has 5 different guardian branches. Each of our branches is specific to a set of needs, I myself have both seen and experienced firsthand. I want to be the first to make a stand to really speak up for the ones who were overlooked.”

Walezi was founded not from theoretical boardrooms, but from lived experience standing in the gaps between systems. We are currently in our founding stage: listening to community needs through surveys, identifying where existing services break down, and building honest grassroots partnerships.
